GARDENING - Jimmy Rockett joined us with some spring color while we are freezing. Jimmy says with temperatures in the upper 20 and low 30, it is best to wait before planting the spring flowers. He says you can plant up some containers that are easy to move so that if it is going to be cold, you could easily bring them indoors and once frost leaves, you could set them back out. Jimmy says that Birmingham's last chance of frost is typically our tax date, April 15. But,  he says we have had frost after that, so just pay attention to what the weather temperatures are going to be. Jimmy says that all of the garden centers should be able to help you on selecting some tougher annuals, like Marigolds instead of Begonias. For more information, call Jimmy at (205) 981-1151, email him at, or visit
