Chef Bob's Sweet n Sour Chicken
For the sauce
3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 Tablespoons ketchup
4 Tablespoons honey
4 Tablespoons pineapple juice
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Mix all in a bowl and set aside.
1 Tablespoon corn starch and 2 Tablespoons water. Mix together in a small bowl, set aside.
1 pound of chicken cut thin
1 Tablespoon ginger minced
3 cloves garlic minced
1 small onion sliced
1 cup green beans or sugar snaps
1 carrot sliced thin
1 cup bell pepper diced (optional)
1 cup pineapple cubed
3 Tablespoons oil
Saute chicken with 3 Tablespoon oil, ginger, garlic, and onion. Add carrot, bell pepper, sugar snaps and pineapple. Cook 1 minute. Add sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Add cornstarch mixture and bring to a boil. Serve with steamed rice.
