Preliminary hearing set for man accused of killing his daughter

GADSDEN,AL (WBRC) -  A Gadsden man accused of murdering his daughter will appear in court next month.  Court records show 35 year old Stephon Lindsay will have his preliminary hearing April 11th before Etowah County District Judge Will H. Clay.

Lindsay was arrested earlier this week for killing his 20 month old Daughter Maliyah Tashay Lindsay. Gadsden Police discovered Maliyah's body Tuesday in a wooded area on Plainview Street. She was reported missing by her Mother on Monday.

Investigators said Maliyah was last seen with her father on March 5th.  Her funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Mission Baptist Church.  Lindsay remains in the Etowah County Jail with no bond.
