Teen killed in Homewood hotel shooting identified

The person shot to death in a Homewood hotel over the weekend has been identified as a teenager from Forestdale.

The Jefferson County coroner's office says the victim is 17-year-old Jvonte Hines. Police found his body on the third floor of the Rodeway Inn on Oxmoor Road. Officials say Hines was shot to death at the hotel around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, March 3.

Officers took 11 people in for questioning on Sunday. So far no one has been charged with Hines' murder.
