MONEY TUESDAY - Stewart Welch with The Welch Group joined us with a look at how we should start with some Spring Cleaning for our personal finances. Springtime is just around the corner and that means it's almost time for spring cleaning. It brings a feeling of accomplishment once it's done. Here's how you can carry the concept of spring cleaning over to your finances:
1. Contribute to your IRA early.
2. Dump the deadwood in your portfolio.
3. Check your 401k contribution.
4. Review your estate plan.
5. Review your insurance policies.
6. Turn spring cleaning into a money maker.

GO BUILD ALABAMA - Go Build Alabama, an initiative of the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute (ACRI), is expanding its efforts to recruit women to the industry by adding a focus on women to its advertising and educational outreach efforts. This is National Women in Construction Week. A new educational video debuts as an outreach effort in schools. It follows the stories of four women who work in various aspects of the construction industry. The women share stories of how they got into the industry, what it's like working as a woman in a male dominated industry and advice for anyone considering construction as a career. National Women in Construction Week is an effort of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), an organization that seeks to ensure the success of women in the industry by supporting them through professional development, leadership training, networking and more. ACRI will also be supporting the efforts of the local chapters of NAWIC during the week by promoting the chapters' activities. For more updates and information, visit www.gobuildalabama.com.
