TALLADEGA, AL (WBRC) -

Five young students may just inspire you to get off the couch.

Five vision-impaired students from the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) in Talladega are taking part in the Mercedes Marathon relay.

Each day they run more than two hours and in Sunday's relay, two coaches will each run half the distance with the students.

"Vision impaired people can accomplish something. And I believe that if we believe in it and if we work hard enough, we can do that," Garrett Dodson, one of the team members, said.

The students will have other runners with them, but they won't be physically connected.
