Another person has died from injuries received in a deadly wreck that happened two weeks ago in north Jefferson County.

The coroner confirmed today that Eric Lawson Corley, 21, passed away from his injuries he suffered in the Jan. 25 wreck. James David Shirley, a 16-year-old from Center Point, also died in the wreck.

Authorities say the 17-year-old driver lost control of a Ford Escape on Trussville-Clay Road and wrecked around 5:15 that night. Investigators say the vehicle left the road and hit a large rock in an adjacent ditch.

Two other teenage passengers also suffered serious injuries in the wreck, and the driver suffered minor injuries.
