Two men have been arrested and charged with selling people's identities.

Birmingham police say Filemon Ochoa, 46, and Carlos Aguero, 38, were pulled over in a traffic stop in the 1100 block of 31st Street North. Officers saw a handgun on the car seat and took the suspects into custody. The officers then observed a "large amount of documents containing multiple identities," Sgt. Johnny Williams said.

The documents included social security cards, passports, car titles, WIC vouchers, car tags, car tag receipts and black pre-notarized Department of Motor Vehicle Power of Attorney forms.

Both men are being charged with trafficking identities and are being held on $100,000 bonds each. They are in custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
