BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred on Friday morning.

It happened at Castlemaine Court around 7:15 a.m. Officers say they are looking for four black male suspects. Police say that the suspects stole the victim's red Toyota Camry. They also believe that the suspects were driving a black Chevy Suburban. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are not saying how many victims were inside the home. When FOX6 arrived on the scene, a man and two children were outside the home. Later, more friends and family members showed up.

Neighbors say this type of violent crime is not normal for their quiet subdivision.

"Very shocking.  This is a sleepy neighborhood, a bedroom community.  We've had our share of car break-ins over a long period of time, but we have a security camera, active Home Owner's Association, and neighborhood patrol so this is very shocking for us and a little bit upsetting," said neighbor Dan Hecker.
