Mayor Bell says the goal is to change the perception of Birmingham through the eyes of these guests.

"They only know us by our civil rights and human rights history. Once they come, they understand that we're warm people, we have a lot of positive things going on in our community, and it changes the whole perception and image that people have. S we want to involve all of these institutions to show the Birmingham of today and the Birmingham of the future, as well," he said.
