Police identify victim in Monday night homicide

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Birmingham police have identified the victim of a homicide that happened Monday night in southwest Birmingham.

Police found Yrral Torrance, a 34-year-old man from Birmingham, dead in a front yard. Officials say the homicide occurred around 10 p.m. in the 5800 block of Ellington Street.

No one has been arrested or charged in the case. Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call Birmingham police at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

This homicide is the fifth homicide in Birmingham in the past five days.
