The Tuscaloosa Police Department says they are looking for a suspect in connection to the burglary of a pharmacy that happened last week.

Last Wednesday, police responded to a burglary call at Dunkin's Pharmacy at 7700 South Highway 69 around 3:27 a.m. The suspect gained entry by force through the front door and took an undisclosed amount of prescription medicine.

The owner tells FOX6 News that the suspect was probably very frustrated because he didn't find the items he was likely looking for.

"We keep most everything locked up that anybody would want," Bruce Dunkin said.

That includes most medications needed to manufacture narcotics. And if the suspect was looking for cash, Dunkin says all of the money in the register is emptied every night and deposited at a bank.

"It's really more of an inconvenience and frustration factor," Dunkin said.

And this isn't the first time the shop has been burglarized, which Dunkin says is a big reason why their wasn't much missing.

"Over the years we've taken increased measures to try and prevent our losses," Dunkin said.

Those measures include security cameras that provided decent images of the latest burglarly suspect.

If you know the identity of the suspect, please contact Tuscaloosa County Crime Stoppers at 205-752-STOP (7867) or Text "Tusc" and the suspect's information to CRIMES (274637). Police say if your information leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward.
