A man so intoxicated he didn't realize he wasn't at his own home allegedly crawled into a bed already occupied by a teenage girl, Jefferson County officials said.

Deputies responded to a report of an intruder at a home in the 8500 block of Rouse Road near Warrior around 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. The mother who reported the incident told deputies that an unknown man got inside her home and climbed into bed with her teenage daughter.

When the mom found the man in the bed next to her daughter, she got a gun and told him she would shoot him if he didn't leave, according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian.

The man fled out of the house through the back door and hid in the woods behind the house. The woman reporting the intrusion told deputies he appeared "highly intoxicated" and seemed to believe he was at his own house.

"He never touched the teenager or assaulted her in any way," Christian stated.

Warrior police officers and sheriff's deputies found the suspect, 22-year-old Riky Hall of Warrior, hiding behind the house and took him into custody. Deputies say he had wrecked his vehicle into the victim's fence, where it became stuck.

The sheriff's office says the suspect was "intoxicated to a point where he believed he had come home and gotten into his own bed."

Hall has been charged with first degree criminal trespass and public intoxication. He is being held on a $2,000 bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
