TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa area authorities have arrested a suspect in last week's armed robbery of a business in Holt.

Jadarius Jennings is charged in the Nov. 12 robbery of the Tienda Ast-Ver business on Crescent Ridge Road. He faces first degree robbery and attempted murder charges in the case. Jennings is accused of shooting the store owner three times when the owner returned and tried to keep him from running off with the store's cash register.

Investigators are checking Jennings' finger prints to see if they match ones left on the cash register. Witnesses say he limped away from the scene after the robbery. Officials believe he may have shot himself some time before the robbery and still had a limp.

The shooting victim, Jeremias Tecpile, is recovering from his injuries at DCH. His condition has reportedly improved since last week.

Jennings is being held on a $120,000 bond in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Investigators are checking to see if he is a suspect in any other cases.
