JEFFERSON COUNTY'S NEW SUPERINTENDENT - School board members in Jefferson County have named their new superintendent who will be replacing the retiring Dr. Phil Hammonds.Dr, Stephen Nowlin of Lee County schools tells Sarah Verser he can't wait to move to Jeffco and start work in January.
LARRY MCREYNOLDS TALKS ABOUT DALE, JR. - One of Nascar's most popular drivers is out of the points race... Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won't drive in the next two races because of a concussion he got before racing at Talladega Superspeedway. Former Nascar crew chief and current Nascar on Fox analyst, Larry McReynolds told Janice and Mike it's a good precaution for Junior to miss the races to make sure everything is o.k.

CLARE AT BARBER - Clare Huddleston previewed the 8th Annual Barber Vintage Festival presented by Triumph Dealers of North America. The nation's fastest growing celebration of vintage bikes will offer on- and off-track racing this weekend, as well as many other activities dedicated to the history and preservation of motorcycles. The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) will be competing throughout the weekend, including Road Racing, Trials, Cross-Country and Motocross.
ERNIE HUDSON IN THE HOUSE - Ernie Hudson from "ghostbusters" stopped by the studio to talk about his weekend appearance at Atrox Factory in Leeds. Atrox is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays until the week of Halloween. Most nights the Factory Tour is $18 and on weekends when special guests are on hand there is also a $5 fee at the gate. Atrox does not charge for parking. They except cash only. It runs from 6:30-10:30pm on Thursday and Sunday nights and 6:30pm-midnight on Friday and Saturday.
