Several felony theft cases cleared by arrests in Gadsden

The Gadsden Police Department says they have recently arrested several suspects in connection to unrelated felony thefts.

Captain Regina May with Gadsden PD released this information on the arrests on Monday morning:

James Shannon Brown, 35 of Attalla, has been arrested on Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft 3rd. Brown entered the vehicle of the victim and stole her work hat and nametag. After the UBEV and theft, Brown was stopped and arrested for an unrelated offense while wearing Wells' hat. Brown was arrested for the UBEV and Theft 3rd on October 7th, 2012.

Lescheri Janie Haslip, 24 of Gadsden, has been arrested and charged with Theft of Property 1st. Haslip is accused of stealing jewelry and cash totaling over $13,000 in August from an elderly Gadsden woman. Haslip was arrested October 6th.

Joseph Andre Bankson, 37, has been arrested on Burglary 3rd charges after an investigation identified him as the person who burglarized the residence at 1207 State Street. Bankson's home address is listed as 1211 State Street. The burglary occurred in August and Bankson was arrested October 6th.

Andrew Duane Farrington, 45 of Gadsden has been arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd and Theft 2nd after the June burglary of a residence at 3104 Shahan Avenue. The victim returned home and observed Farrington coming out of victim's home. A 40" LCD TV had been stolen. Farrington was arrested on October 6th at his residence, 3106 Shanan Avenue.

Bardon Germichael King, 27 of Anniston, has been arrested and charged with Theft 1st after a carjacking incident. The victim had stopped at a stop sign in the 1400 block of Alabama Street when King got into the passenger side of the victim's 2000 Cadillac Escalade. King manhandled the victim into the backseat and drove to a dead end road near the river and made the victim get out of the vehicle. The incident occurred on October 2nd and the arrest was made on October 3rd.
