HALF THE WOMAN - Weighing in at 289 lbs., 36-year-old Lindsey Miller of Chelsea was far too familiar with the risks of obesity. Struggling with a weight problem for her entire life, the mother of two knew she needed to live a healthier lifestyle not only for herself, but for her husband and children, too. Not giving up hope, she decided to make some changes. She joined us today to share her story. She lost 135 pounds and 135 inches in just 13 months.
She plans to lose 20 more pounds. She now runs regularly and is in the process of training for a half marathon. She hopes her story inspires others to make a change. BREW MARATHON - The Fleet Feet Birmingham Tour de Brewers is tomorrow! It benefits The Dannon Project and highlights Birmingham's craft breweries! Registration begins at 10am at Tin Roof and the race begins around 11am. Runners will start at Tin Roof and then head to Avondale Brewering Company, Cahaba Brewing Company, Good People Brewing, and back to Tin Roof. At each location, runners get a free beer. Participants also get a free t-shirt and a chance to win prizes like Brooks shoes, Fleet Feet gift cards, and more. The rout covers six miles - about 1.3 miles for each stretch.
