Chicopee remembers Amanda Plasse one year after her murder

One year ago Sunday, 20-year-old Amanda Plasse was stabbed and killed in her School Street apartment.

No one has been charged with the murder.

Sunday, family and friends gathered at Maximum Capacity and Brass Tap to remember Plasse, keep her story fresh and raise money for upgrades to Wisniowski Park on School Street, as well as art supplies for Chicopee elementary schools.

More than 30 bands lined up to play at Sunday's event.

"She touched the lives of so many people," said Michelle Mathieson, Plasse's mother.  "Those people are willing to give back to us, so in turn we can give back to the community.  It is very touching for us."

This past Friday it was announced that there is now a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who murdered Plasse.
