West End shooting victim identified

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Birmingham's West End.

One victim, a 16-year-old, died in the shooting. He has been identified Brandon Dozier of Birmingham. Another victim is in critical, but stable condition at the hospital. Police say the two men were shot at a house in the 1700 block of Lee Avenue Southwest, just before 6:30 p.m. last night.

Moments after the shooting, police say they detained three suspects a few blocks away. Police say those people are being questioned, but so far, no one has been charged.

Officers are investigating whether an argument earlier in the day sparked the violence.
