Puppeteers cheer up young storm survivors in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - You've never seen motivational speaking like this. Eastwood Middle School's E! Huskateers let their hand puppets do the talking. They perform songs and skits using hand puppets. Yesterday Alberta Elementary students listened closely to the skit. Many lost their homes and they all lost their school to the April 27 tornado.

The troupe's message is that just because you're down it doesn't mean you have to stay that way. Members of the puppet team are tornado victims too and cheering up other youngsters affected by the storm is just as helpful to them. The puppet troupe will perform their uplifting routine at two other Tuscaloosa city schools this week.
