Gadsden police search for bank robbery suspect

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) - Gadsden police are searching for a man who robbed the Compass Bank on Broad Street in Gadsden this morning. The robbery occurred at 8:48 a.m.

The suspect, a slim black male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, grabbed a bank teller and cash, then fled from the bank through a back door, says Gadsden police. He was wearing a camouflage hooded jacket, white T-shirt and black pants.

The suspect ran toward Meighan Blvd. and has not been seen since.

Anyone with information about the suspect or bank robbery is asked to contact Gadsden police.
