Man attempts to rob bank in Vestavia Hills

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL (WBRC)

Vestavia Hills police officers are on the lookout for someone who attempted to rob the BBVA Compass Bank on Liberty Parkway today.

A white male between the ages of 50 and 60 entered the bank and demanded money around 9:45 a.m. The teller did not hand over any cash, so the suspect left the bank without incident, said Lt. Brian Gilham with the Vestavia Hills Police Department.

The suspect was wearing a red flannel shirt, brown pants, gloves and a fedora style hat and was carrying a brown briefcase.
