The Alabama Forestry Commission spent Sunday trying to keep a fire near Hueytown under control. Flames covered the areas of Adger and Virginia Mines.
Officials say the blaze was contained to 600 acres, but tornado debris and hot temperatures refueled the fire.
The debris also made it harder for crews to get tractors into the area to lay lines.
People are being urged not to do any outdoor burning until we get some rain and cooler temperatures.
