Jarrett to speak at Tuskegee dedication

One of President Obama's closest friends and advisers will be involved in somewhat of a homecoming in Alabama.

Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the President, will speak at the Tuskegee University School of Architecture dedication banquet on April 9.

The university will be dedicating the Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science. Taylor, Jarrett's great-grandfather, was the first African American to earn an architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and developed the architecture program at Tuksegee.
