Strong thunderstorms swept across Alabama on Saturday and Sunday, dropping lots of hail and causing damage in a few locations.

Severe thunderstorms were blamed for dozens of hail reports all over Alabama. Hail as large as golf balls were reported in many locations, especially south of Interstate 20 Saturday afternoon and north of Interstate 20 Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Several tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued Saturday and Sunday as numerous thunderstorms pushed across central Alabama. Several trees and power lines fell in a few locations, damaging two mobile homes in Autauga County north of Montgomery and some outbuildings along Empire Road in Walker County.

No one was hurt.
