State asks taxpayers for money saving suggestions

By Melanie Posey

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - If you ever find yourself wanting to help fix the state's money woes, your opportunity is on the way. The Alabama  Commission on Improving State Government has been charged with cutting costs and making government more efficient for the people.

The Commission is asking taxpayers for their suggestions on ways to do that. Lt. Governor Kay Ivey is chair of the commission and says the website where residents can submit their ideas should be up in just over a week. The address will be www.ImproveAlabama.gov.
