BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – Over 100,000 signatures have piled up on an online petition for Apple to remove an app from the iTunes store that claims to help people recover from homosexuality.
As reported on Mashable.com, the app is created by an anti-gay Christian organization called ‘Exodus International' and was released on February 15th.
Gay rights activists say the message of the app is hateful and bigoted. LGBT advocacy organization ‘Truth Wins Out' created the petition in hopes that the app could be removed.
Apple has not removed the app and it holds a 4+ approval rating from the Apple app store.
