Nadia Kersh suspect denied bond in hearing

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. (WBRC) - Joacquas Haywood, the main suspect in Nadia Kersh's 2008 disappearance, was in court Monday for his bond hearing.

Haywood, 27, sat in court while his attorneys requested a number of motions, most denied by Judge Clyde Jones. He remains in jail under no bond, although Jones said he will revisit the issue soon. Haywood's trial is set for September 19.

Kersh, 23, was last seen leaving her job in Homewood on Nov. 3, 2008. She had a young son who family members say she wouldn't have left behind.
