U.S. Supreme Court refuses to hear McNair conviction

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WBRC) – On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear former Jefferson County Commissioner Chris McNair's 2006 bribery and conspiracy conviction.

McNair was convicted of accepting bribes in return for giving millions of dollars in sewer work to contractors.   

The high court also denied hearing appeals of others convicted in the case: Roland Pugh, Bobby Rast and Daniel Rast.

McNair has been free on bond pending the outcome of his appeal.
