TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - If you owe the city of Tuscaloosa money for an overdue parking ticket, you might want to pay it soon.
City leaders are considering a grace period to allow violators to pay their fines without penalty. At least 2,600 people have fines dating back four years.
The city has just updated its computers to track parking ticket offenders through their car tags. They say the grace period is a way for people to settle up and not be surprised when the city finally tracks them down.
