MCCALLA, AL (WBRC) - Hundreds of people turned out Wednesday to apply for dozens of job openings at a Home Depot distribution center.

Home Depot officials said more than 300 people showed up during the first hour of the job fair Wednesday. They said that far overshadows a similar job fair last year, when only about 70 people showed up.

Home Depot is looking to fill about 70 part-time and full-time positions at its distribution warehouse in McCalla.  The 650,000 square foot facility, located on Jefferson Metro Parkway, opened in 2009 and serves several stores.

Home Depot is looking for part time workers for the first and second shift.

If you are interested, you can apply during the second hour of the job fair today between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  You can also get more information about the application process at careers.homedepot.com.
