Volunteers search for Nadia kersh

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A search team spent part of Saturday and Sunday at a pond off of Lakeshore Parkway searching for missing Homewood woman Nadia Kersh.

This is the second time the pond had been searched.

Kersh's mother Nancy said the dedication of the search team of about 20 volunteers has shown is unbelievable.

Jocquas Haywood is the man accused of killing Nadia Kersh. Prosecutors plan to pursue a Capitol murder case although Kersh's body has not been found. Haywood's trial is set to begin April 18th.
