BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The Super Bowl quickly approaches and for a lot of people, Sunday will be a day of partying.
At Best Buy in Hoover, flat screen TV's were rolled out as folks prepare for their Super Bowl parties. Other people plan to pack sports bars. At Buffalo Wild Wings, also in Hoover, there's a huge tailgate party before the game. But Green Bay Packers' fans take note, it's Steeler's country there. A fan club of more than 250 Steelers fans will meet at that location.
Another popular spot is On Tap Sports Cafe in Lakeview.
The general manager looks forward to the extra business.
A fan, Sarah Wilkinson, said "I'm excited that the Super Bowl is going to Texas because I'm from Texas."
Kelly Shaffer, also a fan, says, "It's just fun to get people together and just have friends and hangout. My favorite part is watching the commercials anyway so not a big fan of either team but it'll be fun."
Sports bar managers urge fans to get there early to get a table because of limited space.
The game can be seen only on FOX6 Sunday. Coverage starts at 1p. Kickoff is at 5:30pm.
