MORRIS,AL (WBRC) - An update on a story Fox 6 has been working on out of Morris in Jefferson County. Both suspects in the armed robbery of a Dollar General on Friday are behind bars and one of them thanks to a phone call. Morris Police say a citizen on Mount Olive Road after hearing about the robbery became suspicious when she over heard suspect Marco Dewayne Tolbert who had escaped from police on friday calling for a cab. Morris Police and Jefferson County Sheriffs' Deputies set up and waited for the cab to come pick up Tolbert. When Tolbert entered the cab Sheriff Deputies and Morris police took him into custody. Tolbert and Patrick Lamont Savannah were involved in the robbery in which a store employee was injured. Savannah was taken into custody friday after a police chase. Tolbert escaped into the woods. The suspects are charged with Robbery and Assault.
