Auburn University preparing for championship celebration

AUBURN, AL (WBRC) – Auburn University has big plans to celebrate the Tigers' 2010 National Football Championship.

On Saturday, the University will open Jordan-Hare Stadium for a one-hour-long free celebration for fans. All seating is general admission and gates will open at 11:00 a.m.

Governor Robert Bentley is scheduled to speak and congratulate Coach Chizik and the Auburn football team on their win.

Students with valid Auburn Ignited cards will be allowed to stand on the field.

Concession will open on the lower levels and the AU Team Shop will be open before, during and after the event with officially licensed National Championship products.

As fans exit the stadium, a limited number of National Championship posters will be distributed for free.

30 minutes after the celebration, a reverser Tiger Walk will be held at Stadium Gate 10 towards the Athletics Complex.
