Schools plan to make up snow days in different ways

BIRMINGHAM (WBRC) - Even though most of that snow and ice has melted, several school systems are still out.

As fun as it's been for kids to be out of school, many parents are wondering when classrooms will open back up, and how schools will deal with the missed days.

Most, if not all school systems have extra days built into their calendars for events like snow days. For example, Hoover City Schools will make up the two days they missed on President's Day and then add an extra day to the end of the year.

However, most administrators agree that the inconvenience of snow days isn't an easy thing to deal with.

Fox 6 Reporter Ashley Nix asks a few school systems in the area how they plan to make up for the missed classes.
