SCOTTSDALE, AZ (WBRC) - After more than a month since playing their last football games, the head football coaches are ready the big game is almost here.
"Haven't heard enough?" Oregon head football coach Chip Kelly said when asked Sunday morning to give an opening statement to reporters at a news conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. "Game is tomorrow night. Let's go play."
"I guess there really is a game that's going to be played here soon," said Auburn head coach Gene Chizik. "We're excited about it obviously tomorrow. All of our preparation is done."
The two coaches spoke during a separate news conference Sunday morning, but joined each other briefly to pose for pictures in front of the Coach's Trophy, which will be awarded to the team who wins the BCS Championship Game being played Monday night at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Both coaches said they were ready.
"I feel very good about where we're at, and we're looking forward to a great game tomorrow night," Chizik said.
Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN.
