SCOTTSDALE, AZ (WBRC) - Auburn head football coach Gene Chizik said Wednesday he is happy with his team's preparations for Oregon, but expects some surprises Monday night.
"We've had about five weeks to look at them on film, but we know that they'll be some new things."
Chizik spoke to reporters Wednesday after the Auburn Tigers practiced for Monday's BCS National Championship Game against Oregon. Chizik said despite the expected surprises, he believes his team will be ready and will be able to handle it.
"We have a good feel for them right now," Chizik said.
Chizik said one of his biggest concerns is the speed of Oregon's players.
"Their whole team concerns me with their speed," Chizik said. "They have it all over the team and all over the field."
Auburn is scheduled to practice again at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Tigers will play the Oregon Ducks on Monday night at 7:30 CT in the BCS National Championship Game at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
