BIRMINGHAM (WBRC) - Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman and former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy will once again ask a federal appeals court to drop their convictions for conspiracy and bribery.
Attorneys for the two will make their arguments to the 11th circuit court of appeals in two weeks in Jacksonville, Fla. Siegelman and Scrushy claim their 2006 convictions should be overturned because of recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings dealing with federal corruption cases.
The appeals court ruled against the two men earlier. The hearing is set for January 19.
