BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Two juveniles and one adult have been arrested in connection to more than one burglary in the Centerpoint area.
A woman who lives in the 2400 block of Seventh Place NE managed to stay hidden after three men broke into her home and ransacked it around 6 p.m. She called the Jefferson County Sheriff's office and stayed on the phone with dispatchers during the burglary, giving deputies a description of the suspects and their vehicle. Deputies arrived on the scene and stopped the car as it was leaving the home.
A 14-year-old male, 17-year-old male and 24-year-old Robert Hardy were arrested. The juveniles have since been released to their parents pending Family Court proceedings where they will face burglary and theft charges. Hardy is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on charges of burglary and carrying a pistol without a license. His bond has been set for $11,000. More charges are likely to come for the trio, who have been linked to at least one other burglary in the area.
The stolen property was returned to the owner.
