City of Birmingham gives $121,000 to ClasTran

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The city of Birmingham has voted to allocate funding for ClasTran, a non-profit that transports the elderly and disabled in Jefferson and Shelby counties.

The city council voted Tuesday to give $121,000 to ClasTran. Mayor William Bell said he is still depending on the Jefferson County Commission to give $121,000, which would fund Clastran until March 2011.
