JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Jefferson County leaders got together on Monday morning to try to improve relations and move forward in helping the community.
Jefferson County commissioners and the Jefferson County legislation had breakfast together. Their goal was to talk about the main issues facing the county and what they can do to fix the problems.
"There was a time in the past that these two organizations were not very close. We want to bridge that gap," said Commissioner George Bowman. "We want to show that we're willing to sit down at a table and work cooperatively with our legislative delegation to help solve the problems that face us here in Jefferson County.
The breakfast was held at Vulcan Park.
