BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Mayor William Bell says, after speaking with members of the Jefferson County Commission, he will try to find funds to help Clastran, a struggling non-profit charged with transporting the handicapped and disabled.
Bell says county leaders indicated they would try to find half of the $240,000 needed, so Bell has done the same.
Bell says his concern with funding was making the city pay the entire amount. He says the funding should come next week.
