MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - Lawmakers are making progress in passing Governor Riley's ethics package.
Around 11:00 a.m. on Friday, the House passed the first two of Riley's seven ethics bills. They now head to the Senate.
The senate has four of Riley's bills on its agenda today, including one limiting gifts to public officials to $25 dollars on one occasion.
All seven bills cleared legislative committees Thursday.
Lawmakers say the session is moving along pretty fast and that is a good thing.
