BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A bus service that provides transportation for many disabled and elderly will not get help from the city of Birmingham.
On Tuesday, the council approved a resolution giving Clastran $234,000 to continue operating. On Thursday, Mayor William Bell rejected that resolution.
Clastran's executive director said Tuesday that the city money would allow them to take advantage of a federal grant that requires local matching funds.
