TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - By Kelvin Reynolds
TUSCALOOSA (WBRC) - You'll find Christmas wreaths hanging outside doors at Taylorville Baptist church in Tuscaloosa, but it's the four that were stolen, and the robbery that was caught on camera, that has people talking.
Church security cameras show a woman pulling up in front of the church and removing the wreaths from the front door, hours before Sunday school was to start, Justin Nelson, an associate pastor said
The stolen wreaths only cost about $200, but church members say what happened is definitely not in the Christmas spirit.
"I think it shows a lack of respect for what these holidays are meant to recognize," Nelson said. "It's just a blatant lack of respect for the heart that is behind these holidays."
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
Taylorville is the second church in the area where something has been stolen in the past week, according to Sgt. John Barker.
No suspects have been identified.
