Man dies after robbery in Ensley

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – The Birmingham Police Department says that a man has died after being shot during a robbery.

Officers say they responded to a report of shots fired at 2733 24th Street in Ensley on Tuesday night to find 23-year-old Manderius Oden unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Oden was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Witnesses say three suspects entered the victim's residence and robbed Oden before shooting him.

So far, there have been no arrests in the case.
