Woman and two children killed in Shelby County wreck

SHELBY COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A Sylacauga woman and two children were killed Friday night in a two car accident. The accident happend at the intersection of U.S. Hightway 280 and Shelby County Highway 55. The Shelby County Corner's Office identified the victims as 32 year old Jessica Wyatt Fields, 9 year old Tony Ray Fields and 8 year old John Clay Fields. A third child was flown to Children's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The driver is now in custody and his identity is being withheld pending formal charges.
