Three arrested on burglary charges in Etowah County

ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WBRC) – The Etowah County Sheriff's Department says they have arrested three men in connection to a burglary in Boaz.

On September 2nd, three individuals allegedly broke into a home on Keri West Lane and stole a Remington 30-06 along with other hunting equipment. An anonymous tip led investigators to three suspects who lived in the same neighborhood.

18-year-old Clinton Ray Clifton, 19-year-old Kenneth Robert Alexander Jr., and 20-year-old Gary Ray Hansard have all been charge with one count of third degree burglary and one count of second degree theft of property and one count of third degree theft of property.

None of the property has been recovered and the rifle is believed to have been sold at a local flea market. The rifle's serial number has been entered as stolen property. The Etowah County Sheriff's Office asks anyone who recently purchased a Remington 30-06 at a flea market or anyone with information to call Investigator Shane Hartley at 256-546-2528.

The suspects were booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and released on bond.
