Etowah County law enforcement holds major food drive

ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Etowah County's entire law enforcement community is trying to help their community through a major food drive.

The Etowah County Sheriff's Office and all of the county's city police departments are taking part in this year's Etowah County Community Food Drive. The drive benefits three groups: the Salvation Army, the Love Center and the Etowah Baptist Missions Group.

"We are asking all of our employees here at the sheriff's office to donate food," says spokesperson Natalie Barton. "You know, we're constantly helping other people in other ways, but this is just another way that we can reach out to our community to try to better ourselves and everyone else."

You can drop off items at the Etowah County Sheriff's Office or at several police departments through Friday.
